Agricultural and veterinary equipment importer and distributor Shoof International has signed a $400,000 contract with Auckland-based software company Intelligroup.
Shoof owner Geoff Laurent said he had been developing an internal business applications system. But when the company started expanding into new international market segments with additional product lines and business acquisitions,Mr Laurent realised the company needed assistance in managing its meteoric rate of growth.
"As the business got bigger, we realised we were going to need to implement a professional system to support our operations, including finance, customer relationship management and import-distribution management modules," he said.
The work went out to tender and Intelligroup, a midsize reseller of SAP business software, recommended an all-in-one solution, which Mr Laurent said would leave his own staff free to focus on their core business.
