Methanex names two top jobs for Kiwi employees

Canada-based Methanex Corporation has confirmed its new president and chief operating officer is Bruce Aitken, the managing director of subsidiary Methanex New Zealand.

Mr Aitken will be moving to Vancouver to take over Methanex's top job later this year.

He was looking forward to "leading the company through an exciting stage of its development", he said in a statement.

Mr Aitken will be replaced at Methanex NZ by Harvey Weake, formerly manufacturing director of the company's Taranaki facility.

Both men are long-term Methanex employees.
