Fonterra to expand Clandeboye plant

Fonterra says dairying is expanding so rapidly in South Canterbury that it wants to again expand its Clandeboye plant near Timaru, and may need to discharge the extra waste water into the sea.

Clandeboye's production in the past season increased almost 16 per cent above the previous year. A further 11 per cent increase is budgeted for the next 12 months.
