Farmers takes over Deka store at Lynnmall

The Farmers and Deka stores at New Lynn's Lynnmall shopping centre will be merged in a $4 million upgrade. Farmers will move its furniture, electronics and appliances ranges to the former Deka store.

The existing Farmers store will be upgraded to a "more contemporary retail environment", said Peter Churchill of the mall's owner, AMP Henderson Global Investors.

An extra 20 people will be employed to work in the new Farmers store.
