Diageo in talks to sell Burger King for US$2.1bn

British liquor giant Diageo is in exclusive talks to sell its Burger King unit for more than US$2.1 billion to Goldman Sachs Group's private equity arm Texas Pacific and Boston buyout firm Bain Capital, people familiar with the matter said. Diageo began an auction for BK in March.
