Air NZ gains Hong Kong to London route

The Hong Kong Government has granted Air New Zealand approval to service the Hong Kong to London route. Air New Zealand is expected to start the new service by the end of the year and will also expand its Auckland-Hong Kong services to a daily schedule, reports the South China Morning Post. It said the new route was the result of a substantial expansion of Air New Zealand's air traffic rights into Hong Kong, which includes the right to pick up passengers in Hong Kong for transit to a further destination.
