Auckland's epicurious will be heading to Queens Wharf's Shed 10 this Saturday the 10th August, with chefs from a delicious line-up of city restaurants serving up their version of street fare at the first ever Street Eats market.
With most plates priced between $5-10, you can sample a range of
dishes from different cuisines - from Mexican to Italian, Indian to Korean, you'll find it all here. Renowned Israeli restaurant Ima Cuisine are serving up their take on the Middle East's beloved kebab, the South East Asian whizzes at Monsoon Poon are crossing East with West with Rendang sliders and sago puddings and The Lucky Taco crew are dishing up Auckland's favourite south of the border delicacy, tasty Mexican tacos.
To complement the many flavours on the menu, there'll be wine by the glass from $6-8 from Villa Maria and Nautilus and beer from the Made to Match beer bar plus a range of entertainment through the day, with George FM DJs, kids entertainers and live acts including colourful jazz, funk and soul trio LatinAotearoa.
A total of 18 restaurants will be cooking up a Street Eats storm throughout the day - starting from 10.30am and with last orders at 7pm. Street Eats is a weather proof event, serving up fresh food and live entertainment rain or shine.
Visitors to the event will be amongst the first to see the newly refurbished Shed 10 since its recent upgrade. The historic cargo shed, soon to be the arrival point for cruise visitors into Auckland, dates back to 1910 and is the only original building left on the wharf.
