Anzac Day falls this weekend and with it, parades, exhibitions and activities honouring the fallen are happening around the region. Here are just some of the Anzac Day ceremonies and events happening around Auckland city.
Anzac Day Commemorations
On Saturday 25 April, 100 years on from the Gallipoli landings, NewZealanders who have served will be honoured and remembered, and lives lost will be commemorated at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Domain Dr, Auckland Domain, Auckland.
The dawn service begins at 6am, civic services at 11am.

A special screening of TVNZ's new First World War drama series, When We Go to War will also be screening in the build up to Anzac Day every day until April 25.
Auckland Museum will play host to a special addition this weekend. Visitors can explore the Gallipoli campaign in an exhibition featuring the interactive world of Minecraft.
This hugely popular online game is about breaking and placing blocks. Since its inception players have worked together to create all sorts of incredible and imaginative things.
The Sky Tower is inviting visitors to take part in a special commemoration by placing a small poppy on the glass of the Sky Tower's Main Observation Level. Each group that visits the Sky Tower will be given a free poppy to place on the glass of the windows of Level 51.
From 25 -27 April 2015 all current serving NZDF personnel and RSA veterans will also receive free Sky Tower entry when they show their identification card as well as a voucher for a free small coffee or tea in Sky Lounge on Level 50. Normal Sky Tower admission fees apply.
Gallipoli - Special Anzac Screening
Academy Cinemas is putting on a special screening of the 1981 classic Gallipoli on Saturday 25 April 2015 12:00am and Sunday 26 April 2015 12:00am.
This anti-war film that features a low-key but emotionally wrenching performance from Mel Gibson as a young soldier fighting in one of World War I's most horrifying battles.
Speedway Grand Final Plus Monster Truck and Fireworks

Waikaraka Park Speedway is putting on a monster of a show, giving stock cars one last chance to settle any outstanding grudges as they battle to be "King of the Park" in the Grand Final. After that, They will have 5 months to repair the damage so expect sparks to fly.
