Queen's Birthday on Queens Wharf
There's a right proper celebration happening this Queen's Birthday Weekend at Queens Wharf.
Stalls and all the best parts of Britain, mixed with a hint of kiwiana, will be on sale in Lower Shed 10. Buskers, music, culture and food with special performances expected, showcasing some classic rock-pop and blues hits from home and abroad.
Expect games, crafts and a carnival atmosphere it's free for the family to attend.

Trinity Roots 'Citizen' Tour
Trinity Roots are taking to the road to celebrate the release of their third studio album 'Citizen' with a national tour this May and June.
Known for their homely fusion of reggae, slow-funk and jazz exploration, this "quietly accomplished album" is a slow-burner that will encourage listeners to go on their own journey through the music.
Trinity Roots will be performing live at the Sawmill Café in Leigh on Friday May 29. Tickets start at $25.

Autozamm to perform one-off show
Also on Friday, The Kingslander is set to come alive with the clashing drums and screaming guitars of one of New Zealand's best live acts, Autozamm.
Autozamm are already being hailed as a worthy successor to System of a Down and Serj Tanken by Rolling Stone magazine.
In a one-off show Autozamm will be joined by Harvey Knows A Killer and Skinny Hobos in an epic show not to be missed.

Pink Floyd Experience is often synonymous with words like "psychedelic", "conceptual" and "provocative". Now it's synonymous with one hell of a show.
The Wish You Were Here Tour will be a nearly 3 hour show with a state of the art sound system, fantastic lighting, amazing projections and effects and a passionate 11 piece band. The performers are fans so the show delivers meticulous attention to detail and superb production.
For three days over the long weekend, The Bruce Mason Centre will be the stage for this epic performance that promises pure Pink Floyd gold. Tickets start at $99.

Death and the Maiden by Ariel Dorfman
The Factory theatre will come alive with a haunting and psychologically disturbing thriller that will make viewers question their beliefs, attitudes and responses.
Death and the Maiden, directed by John Callen, will be presented by the Newmarket Stage Company this weekend. Tickets start at $32.

FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015
Football's future superstars will converge on New Zealand when the FIFA U-20 World Cup touches down in Auckland this Saturday May 30.
The competition kicks off at 1pm when the New Zealand All Whites face off against Ukraine to start the tournament at the QBE Stadium in Albany.

Vodafone Warriors v Knights
The Vodafone Warriors will clash against worthy adversaries the Newcastle Knights this Sunday in the old hunting ground, Mt Smart Stadium. The two teams are evenly-matched so all bets are off as to who will come out on top.
Kick-off is at 4pm this Sunday May 31.
Auckland Festival of Photography
The 12th Auckland Festival of Photography kicks off at venues across the region from Thursday.
Key exhibitions at the Auckland Art Gallery feature new work by Lisa Reihana with In Pursuit of Venus [infected] and Laurence Aberhart with ANZAC.
At Silo 6, is photography from Auckland, Germany, UK, Estonia and China. Plus, direct from Angkor Photo Festival and Workshops, is a specially curated selection of international photojournalism.

Waiheke Arts Festival
Staying with the arts, head over to Waiheke to visit more than 30 Waiheke artists' studios over Queen's Birthday weekend, plus enjoy galleries, arts events, demonstrations and the Sunday Soiree.
The event is on at Waiheke Community Art Gallery, Oneroa and costs $10 per person.
Model X 2015 Hobby Show
The West Wave Recreation Centre in Henderson will host the Model X 2015 Hobby Show over Queen's Birthday Weekend, with exhibits of hobby activities, from 3D printers to jewellery to model trains, boats, cars, trucks and free model-making classes.
Nearly 40 exhibits include individuals and groups and trade will show visitors what to do and how with plenty of experts on hand to chat about aspects of their specialist hobby interests.
Adults $7, children under 5 get in free.
