The Buffalo Bills snapped the longest current non-playoff drought in North American pro sports with a 22-16 victory at Miami and Cincinnati's shock late victory at Baltimore.
The Bills hadn't made the postseason since 1999.
Buffalo (9-7) will travel to Jacksonville next weekend in a wild-card game. The other AFC wildcard match-up will see the Kansas City Chiefs host the Tennessee Titans. The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers earned the bye.
In the NFC the Atlanta Falcons will head to Los Angeles to face the Rams while the Saints will host the Carolina Panthers in match-up between NFC South rivals. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings will await the winners of those games in the next round.
