All Whites striker Chris Wood has made the perfect start at new club Leicester City after scoring twice in the side's 6-1 victory over Huddersfield this morning.
Wood didn't take long to make an early impression for the Championship side,
scoring in the sixth minute before netting a second 18 minutes later to put Leicester 2-0 up.
Four more goals saw Leicester pick up their 13th win of the season to remain in fifth place and a chance of reaching next year's Premier League through the Championship playoffs.
The 21-year-old signed with Leicester from Premier League side West Bromich Albion last week for around 1 million pounds ($NZ1.96m), according to reports.
Wood has 13 goals in the Championship this season after scoring 11 during a loan spell at Millwall.
Leicester manager Nigel Pearson had plenty of praise for his new signing after the match.
"Chris Wood played a very positive part in what a was a very good team performance. His attributes fit the bill for a what we are looking for," Pearson told the BBC.
"He is a team player and works very hard and shows a lot of football intelligence as well. It is pleasing that that he has got off to such a good start but it is about the group."
