Power has been restored to more than 2000 properties in Auckland after a truck brought down a phone line.
Some 2010 properties and multiple traffic signals across Otahuhu were affected by this morning's power cut after a rubbish truck snagged a telecom wire.
Vector immediately shut down supply to the surrounding area to investigate the accident and confirm the downed line was not connected to the electricity network.
A spokeswoman for the lines company said the power supply had now been restored to the area.
Auckland Transport tweeted that the outage at Otahuhu had caused multiple traffic signals to go out.
"Please follow give-way rules and take care."
The Vector website said 2010 properties were affected and the outage was reported at 8.53am and it was expected to be restored at 10.53am.
