A woman was cut free from her car that crashed into a ditch in Horowhenua this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Foxton-Shannon Rd about 1.40pm, where the woman was trapped.

A Fire Service spokesman said the woman was cut free and left in the hands of ambulance staff.
