Slow drivers in the right-hand lane need to check the Road Code again. It states that if you are driving under the speed limit and there are vehicles behind you, you are required to keep as far to the left of the road as possible. In the case of a three-lane motorway, that means being in the left-hand lane. If you're in the right-hand lane, you're clearly not as far left as possible.

Congratulations to all the school choirs that performed at the Big Sing in the Auckland Town Hall. The singing from all those lovely young people was superb. Praise must also go to the organisers, the NZCF, and everyone involved in bringing what was, not only to me, but I'm sure many others, a very enjoyable experience. And to the two Pacific Island boys who leapt to their feet to offer my husband and me their seats in the foyer, pre-concert, you are a credit to your school. Sadly, we were remiss in failing to ascertain which school you attend, but you know who you are.

I am also a regular train traveller and see a number of people who travel without tickets. Auckland Transport really needs to get a system in place to ensure all travellers have a ticket or Hop card before boarding the train. They will be pleasantly surprised to see how much revenue will start coming in.

Commendation to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission which attends Commonwealth war graves throughout the world. I recently visited my father's grave to find it had been cleaned, white-washed and the headstone refurbished so the name is readable. Thank you so much.

To the lowlife in Huntly who stole a number of kit bags from the Huntly Domain while the runners were competing in the half marathon on Sunday. You haven't given Huntly a good name.

I would like to thank Axial Appliances. We bought a new washing machine and three months later it started playing up. We rang Axial who picked up the machine and replaced the faulty card but the machine was damaged in their workshop. They told us about the damage and replaced the machine for a new one at their expense. That was the right outcome so thanks Axial Appliances.
