Maud Farris-Luse, recognised last year by the Guinness World Records book as the world's oldest living person, has died. She was 115.
She died on Monday from complications of pneumonia at Community Health Centre of Branch County in Coldwater, southwestern Michigan.
Farris-Luse was 115 years, 56 days old.
"It was her time,"
said great-granddaughter Laurie Ferris, 32.
"She lived a long time and now she's in a better place. She passed away very, very peacefully."
Last June, Guinness editors recognised Farris-Luse as the oldest living person whose age could be verified.
