Crispin Butler, the senior coroner, adjourned the hearing and confirmed that a full inquest was scheduled to take place on June 23.
Tributes were paid to Skinner, 21, after her death. She was described by friends and community groups as a “truly lovely girl” and a “fantastic ambassador” for the town.
Skinner’s parents have since set up a GoFundMe page to donate money to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service.
They wrote: “Our beautiful daughter Eleisha was in a tragic accident at the young age of 21 years. With the amazing response of the emergency services, we were able to spend her last few days with her.
“The air ambulance doctor was fantastic. We would like to raise funds in Eleisha’s name to support this charity, so they can continue the amazing work that they do.”
The Faversham Carnival Club said that “it is with deep regret and sadness that we have to let you know that our beautiful Miss Faversham 2022, Eleisha Skinner, died on January 8 following a tragic accident. Eleisha was a fantastic ambassador for Faversham and a truly lovely girl.
“We all have some lovely memories of our time spent with her. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this devastating time. Eleisha will be missed by so many.”
At her funeral in Faversham, the Rev Dan Corcoran called Skinner “stunning, confident and always beautifully herself”.
“Eleisha was the kind of person who made the world greater, just by being in it. Her impact was immense,” he said.
“We will carry with us always our beautiful Eleisha, forever loved.”
Her brother Kian paid tribute to her as a “brilliant woman”, while her mother Clare expressed her gratitude “for all the support, kind words and donations from people that knew and did not know Eleisha”.
