Two people have been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at a London memorial wall commemorating Iranians killed in anti-government protests, police said.
The wall in Golders Green in north London, where two Jewish men were stabbed this week, also commemorates victims of the October 7 attack byPalestinian Hamas militants on Israel in 2023.
The area is home to a large Jewish community.
The Metropolitan Police said a 46-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, who have not been named, were arrested in Romford, east London, earlier on Monday.
On Friday a 45-year-old man appeared in court charged with stabbing two men in Golders Green on Wednesday, the latest incident to rock London’s Jewish community.
