Australian police have located a 1-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted from a home south of Brisbane overnight.
Queensland Police earlier said a man took the girl from a residence on Wardell St, Beenleigh, on Saturday night and that she may be at significant risk.
It's believed the man drove the girl over the NSW border about 10.30pm. The car was later found abandoned across the border.
An amber alert was issued before being withdrawn about 10.30am today: "The Queensland Police Service have located the 1-year-old girl safe and well who was taken from Beenleigh last night.
"Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance."
Images of the young girl and the man who allegedly took her were released earlier this morning.
They left in a white Suzuki sedan with NSW registration CS3-4ZR, which was later abandoned in NSW.
"Police were alerted to the incident around 9.40pm and observed the man in a white Suzuki sedan around 10pm," a Queensland Police statement said.
"The car was driven at high speed southbound on the Pacific Motorway and crossed into NSW around 10.30pm.
"The car was located abandoned in a Bogangar street around 1.15am."
Police had urged the man, or anyone with information about their location, to contact police immediately.
