Person bitten by shark at the Great Barrier Reef, medics responding

Paramedics and a rescue helicopter have been sent to the Great Barrier Reef, where a person has been reportedly bitten by a shark.

Queensland Ambulance has tweeted that the incident took place at Hardy Reef in North Queensland, news.com.au reports.

Hardy Reef is one of the many thousand small reefs that make up the Great Barrier Reef.
