KEY POINTS:
LONDON - A teenage boy has been stabbed to death in a north London street, the latest victim of a spate of murders of young people in the capital over recent months, Scotland Yard said on Wednesday.
The boy, who was in his mid-teens and white, has yet to be identified. He was discovered by police on Tuesday evening after reports of a "disturbance" involving a number of youths at the junction of Tollington Way and Axminster Road in Islington.
Paramedics treated him for stab wounds but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His violent death follows that of 16-year-old Ben Hitchcock, who was fatally stabbed on Saturday in Beckenham, south London, in a fight involving a group of youths who had tried to gatecrash a party.
Fourteen teenagers aged between 13 and 16, including a girl, have been questioned by police over Hitchcock's murder.
Annaka Pinto, 17, was shot dead in the early hours of Saturday during a fight in a bar in Tottenham, north London.
Three people have been arrested and bailed over her killing.
