A prominent Melbourne criminal lawyer facing a lengthy jail sentence for drugs offences had an addiction to cocaine that made him believe he was invincible or "bullet-proof", a court was told today.
Fifty-year-old Andrew Roderick Fraser, whose clients have included disgraced businessman Alan Bond, has pleaded guilty to trafficking in cocaine and knowingly being concerned in importing the drug.
A pre-sentencing hearing heard his cocaine dependency was such that in the year before his arrest, he spent $A100,000 ($125,015) on it for his own use.
