A French court yesterday freed a man jailed for the past 15 years for murdering two boys in what judges called one of France's worst miscarriages of justice. The ruling overturned two highly publicised trials which found Patrick Dils, now 31, guilty of battering two 8-year-old boys to death in eastern France in 1986.
