The ex-lover of former NSW MP John Della Bosca "freaked out" when she saw his wife sitting on a park bench next to her home, a court has been told.
Kate Neill said she had never met Della Bosca's wife, former federal MP Belinda Neal, but recognised her from hermedia profile when the woman on the bench lowered her sunglasses.
"Her eyes were flickering," Neill told the Downing Centre Local Court.
"I just really got the heebie-jeebies."
She was giving evidence at the hearing of a police application for a Personal Violence Order against Neal following an incident on April 6 at Newtown in Sydney's inner west.
Neill said the other woman followed her up the street so she walked up to the Chill Cafe because she knew people there and wanted to get to safety.
Neill said she then confronted the other woman saying: "Do I know you, why are you following me?"
She said, Neal replied: "You are nothing but a f*****g whore. My husband only likes you because you lay open your legs for him. You know nothing about politics, nothing. You are going to get what's coming to you."
"I was very scared," Neill said. "She kept swearing and I am backing away."
