Thousands of dollars have been raised to cover the funeral expenses of a staunch anti-vaxxer and mum of four who succumbed to Covid-19 last week.
Kristen Lowery, from Escalon, California, died from Covid and resulting pneumonia on September 15 at age 40, leaving behind her young children, Tayden, McKenna, Ellaand Ryenn.
A GoFundMe page set up shortly after her death has already raised more than $US11,000 ($15,150), with organiser Janet Vallotton writing that Ms Lowery died "suddenly and unexpectedly".
However, other family members had posted on social media that the woman had died from the virus, with her sister Cassie pleading for prayers on Facebook shortly before Lowery's death.
"My sister, Kristen, is in the hospital fighting for her life against Covid and pneumonia," the post from earlier this month reads.
Lowery's aunt Roxann Bittner Kalski later confirmed on social media that her "beautiful niece has lost her battle against Covid", with other relatives also confirming the news online.
The mother-of-four's Facebook profile, which is now set to private, includes a string of photos of the woman with filters containing strident anti-vax messaging.
One includes the words: "Unmasked. Unmuzzled. Unvaccinated. Unafraid. Together we win" while another states: "Free thinker. Question everything. Research mandatory."

In another photo, the mother is pictured nest to a sign which reads: "Give a voice to the vaccine injured."
The GoFundMe set up to cover Lowery's funeral costs and help her children states her death is "devastating to everyone that knew her".
"Kristen was a beautiful and amazing woman but more than that she was a phenomenal mother who always, ALWAYS put her children first," the GoFundMe states.
"She lived for her children (Tayden, McKenna, Ella, and Ryenn) and loved being their mother more than anything in her life. She was full of life and loved her friends and family fiercely.
"She was the kind of person that even if she didn't have anything she would give the shirt off of her back to anyone in need. She was everything that was good and kind. Her passing leaves a big hole in many of our lives and she will never be forgotten but will be greatly missed.

"If you would like to donate to help with the cost of her funeral expenses it would be greatly appreciated. Whatever funds are left over will go into a savings account for her children's care.
"Thank you to everyone who is called to donate and even if you cannot donate please keep her children and family in your prayers."
