Chicago porch disaster kills 11

A third-floor porch on an Chicago apartment building collapsed during a party early yesterday, killing at least 11 people and injuring as many as 35 others.

The porch sent people and debris crashing down to the ground and sandwiched the second-floor deck underneath it.
