All flights in an out of Birmingham Airport have been suspended following an air traffic control fault.
The problem occurred today with dozens of flights affected and a number of aircraft diverted to other airports.
Passengers were being advised to check flight departures and arrivals after the problem crippled thesystem that helps aircraft take off and land safely.
A spokesman for the airport said: "We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing to our passengers."
The disruption comes after mysterious sightings of a drone caused chaos at Gatwick Airport for three days.
