HOUSTON - US astronaut Lisa Nowak, who was arrested last month on charges she attempted to kidnap a romantic rival, has been terminated from the astronaut corps, Nasa said on Wednesday.
She had been on leave following the incident in Orlando, Florida, in which has been accused ofdonning a disguise and attacking a woman she viewed as a rival for the affections of astronaut William Oefelein.
Nowak, a US Navy captain, continues her military service and Nasa said her next assignment would come from the Navy.
She has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted kidnapping, burglary and battery.
