Claims have been made drivers are ignoring Carterton Railway Station's one-way system in their haste to exit the carpark.
A regular train passenger who didn't want his name published told the Times-Age he feared someone was going to be run over because commuters coming off early evening trains were scramblingto beat each other out of the carpark.
"They are ignoring the one-way system and are taking off out of the entry-only entranceways."
He said the system was relatively new and some drivers might genuinely not have caught up with the rules but daily commuters would have no excuse.
The man said he had talked over the problem with others but felt the people with responsibility for the carpark should monitor the happenings at the entranceways and attempt to enforce the rules
