They made the AirBnB booking "specifically for the pool table," but were left disappointed by its actual size.
One of the group, Brian Ashe, posted pictures to Twitter for comparison. He was not impressed, though could see the funny side of the situation.
The pictures were 'liked' over 8000 times on social media. Comments from the internet went as far to praise the "genius" of the owner.
"That first picture is some absolute belting camera work btw," wrote Connor Handren.
This is far from the first time holidaymakers have been fooled by deceptive photography.
Jenny Kershaw's photos of a 'rooftop pool' on an Booking.com listings went viral when she discovered the paddling-pool sized hot tub.
"Our hotel pool in Vietnam ... booking.com VS reality. We've been done there," she wrote on Twitter, sharing a picture of the promo shot and her own photo side-by-side.
