Jeremy Rees flies Auckland to Christchurch, with Jetstar.
Flight time: It's a 1hr, 20m service, with a 6.35am take-off from Mangere.
My seat: Middle seat, 10B. Lovely sleeping companions either side.
Fellow passengers: Asleep. A 6.35am flight is better than a sleeping pill. All awake as we took off, everyoneasleep by cruising height. Read three lines of my book, Bruce Lee: A Life and was suddenly out cold.
The toilets: I am sure very good. Too deeply asleep to notice.
The bottom line: I am not one of those who tells stories of Jetstar delays. I am sitting on a 100 per cent record with Jetstar in New Zealand. Take-off on time, arrive early or on-time. Good service. And a lovely restful sleep.
I woke up long enough to take this shot (above) of early morning over Canterbury reflected on our headrests.
