Nicole Singh has always had a passion for horses, so starting her business, Stone Hill Horse Trek, is the perfect way to combine work and play.
The horse trek opens today and journeys through the Owairaka valley in Pukeatua, which is home to giant rhyolite volcanic boulders, streams, rolling hills,
goats, pheasants and deer.
There are two guided horse treks available every day and the minimum age to sign up is 12 years.
For $80 horse-lovers can embark on a two-hour horse trek which involves stopping for a rustic picnic, including German bread, baked by Mrs Singh.
For $50 the one-hour horse trek involves rounding up the cattle for afternoon milking. A guided tour through the farm with your own horses can also be arranged.
