Three Fat Pigs are a fledgling brewery out of Hamilton who are dedicated to making quality booze.

The Country Early Edition's Dom George caught up with brewer and marketer Tim Cursons for this week's edition of Top of the Hops.

Tim and his mates Morgan Coster and Damian Houghton began brewing when they were students as the price of beer was out of the reach of their meagre budgets.

The rest, as they say, is history and now four years later Three Fat Pigs are brewing about 800 litres a month.

Thankfully their student days are long gone so the trio can focus on selling rather than swilling!
