Stratford Police attended an accident south of Eltham on June 16. There have been no reported injuries to the Waverly driver, who lost control and hit trees. The vehicle was moderately damaged.
On June 17, a 40-year-old Puniwhakau male was arrested and charged with assault relating to an incident previously reported from June 8. He has been bailed to Hawera District Court. On the same date in the late afternoon, a car reversed into a parked car outside the Northern Dairy. The offending driver checked the damage before fleeing the scene. Police would like to speak to her . The vehicle was described as a white SUV, similar to an Isuzu Bighorn. The first three letters of the registration are FGZ. The driver was described as a female of Maori descent aged 30-40.
