Horse riding, milking a cow and kayaking are just some of the activities on offer at Midhirst's newest attraction, Naki Fun Farm.
John and Alison Vernon say they hope visitors to their 350 acre farm will enjoy the rural experience.
"Both our daughters have an affinity for horses so Icreated an arena when they were young for them to practise on," says John adding there are very few places in Taranaki for riders.
"The farm also provided a great place for them to develop their skills so we thought why not open it up for other riders."
The trails across the farm support riders with all levels of experience and skill and riders can enjoy the sand floor arena with jumps for horses.
Since opening six weeks ago John and Alison say they have been enjoying meeting people from all over the region as they visit the farm.
Mary Lindsay-Hughes and Katrina Colquhoun are return visitors to Naki Farm Fun.
"We have brought our horses here several times and love exploring the trails and the scenery," says Mary. Katrina adds "there aren't a lot of places to ride in the region and here at John and Alison's is the perfect place".
