Carol Paterson, owner/operator of Eastern Taranaki Experience, celebrated recently by taking her 100th group through the Forgotten World Highway.
Carol began her walking/tramping tour in September 2001 and over the past six seasons her business has flourished.
Carol took two groups on her 100th tour - four from Wellington, four from Auckland
and two from Christchurch. The group visited Makahu, the Matemateaonga Range, Aotuhia Station and Whangamomona.
From 100 tours, Carol has shown 798 people through the Forgotten World Highway.
Carol's main tour is the Stratford walk and then two years later she added a transport route. Last season an Eltham walk was introduced and this coming season she is hoping to enter the international market offering a round trip from Taupo/Rotorua to Whangamomona, South Taranaki and back home through State Highway 3.
