KJ Apa has posted a touching tribute to actor Luke Perry, who died earlier this week.
Perry was KJ Apa's onscreen dad on TV series Riverdale.
The Kiwi actor posted a photo of Luke Perry on Instagram with the caption "Rest in Love bro".
The post gathered nearly two million likes in just four hours.
It isn't the first reference KJ Apa made to Luke Perry's passing on Instagram this week.
Yesterday, Apa shared a screenshot on his Instagram story of the Third Eye Blind song The Background, which pays tribute to a loved one who has died in hospital.
The opening lyrics include: "Everything is quiet since you're not around, and I live in the numbness now, in the background."
Perry played Fred Andrews, the father of Apa's character Archie, in Riverdale, the CW/Netflix TV series based on the beloved Archie comics.
The actor, who shot to fame with his iconic role as Dylan in Beverly Hills 90210, had been in Los Angeles hospital since last Wednesday, where he was in an induced coma.
He passed away on Tuesday at the age of 52.
