Yachting: Slow progress for NZ at 420 champs

The New Zealand team had a difficult day in the light airs at the world 420 yachting championships off Brest, France.

In the Open Gold fleet, the Kiwi crew of Peter Burling and Bruce Kennedy slipped to seventh overall after scoring a 23rd and 22nd.

The second crew of Chris Dawson and Scott Illingworth were ninth.

In the women's fleet, Sarah Bilkey and Rosie Sargisson maintained their sixth position overall with placings of sixth and seventh.

Georgina Hill and Michelle Kennedy were 18th after a ninth and 60th.
