Yachting: Sanderson in lead near finish

Mike Sanderson's ABN Amro One held a 40 nautical mile lead over their second boat ABN Amro Two last night as the fleet close in on Melbourne.

However, with just under 900 miles to go, the forecast is showing another clam patch ahead for the race leaders, which could allow third-placed movistar, 140 miles behind, and Pirates of the Caribbean, 413 miles behind, to close in.

The leaders are expected in Melbourne tomorrow.
