Three New Zealanders narrowly missed out on medals overnight in the Semaine Olympique Francaise yachting regatta in Hyeres, France.
After the final day of the six-day regatta three New Zealand competitors finished in fourth place in their classes, with two other New Zealand boats finishing in the top 10.
AndrewMurdoch finished second overnight in the men's Laser, improving him from seventh to fourth , while Jo Aleh was also second in the 80-strong Laser Radial fleet, bumping her from fifth up to fourth place.
Dan Slater in the Finn also improved his overall placing, moving from sixth to fourth.
The Yngling team of Sharon Ferris, Raynor Smeal and Ashley Holtum moved up two places on the leaderboard overnight to finish fifth out of 26, while Tom Ashley won his men's RS:X race overnight to finish sixth overall.
There were 26 New Zealanders in the Hyeres competition with four others finishing in the top 20.
