Yachting: Modest efforts at 420 worlds

Two New Zealand men's crews finished in the top 10 in the 49-boat gold fleet in the World 420 Championships in Brest, France.

Peter Burling and Bruce Kennedy finished sixth overall and Chris Dawson and Scott Illingworth finished one place behind.

In the women's fleet, Georgina Hill and Michelle Kennedy were the best-placed New Zealanders, finishing 20th overall. The second New Zealand crew of Rosie Sargisson and Sarah Bilkie were 22nd.
