New Zealand Laser yachtsman Robbie McMillan has finished second in the Barcelona Olympic sailing week regatta.
McMillan's prominent placing among a 70-strong fleet came after a string of top results in a six-race programme.
He was understandably pleased with his form, which he attributed to being fast downwind.
"It's great to kick offEurope on a positive note, with this being the first major regatta for the European summer," he said. "I really feel that I have stepped my sailing up a gear in the past few months."
He was up against five of the top 10 Laser sailors in the world.
