New Zealand yacht Maximus has won the prestigious Fastnet Ocean Classic off the English coast.
Maximus has crossed for line honours at Plymouth, winning in a time of two days 20 hours and two minutes.
Co-owner Charles Brown says it was a fantastic effort and there are a couple of reasons for their success.
He says the boat is very fast and they can not do it without the excellent sailors.
Brown describes the race as very tactical, and quite a challenge but there was some very nice sailing and it was a good race for them.
Maximus finished ahead of 280 yachts in the fleet.
The Super Maxi now has a serious chance to take the rare double of Line and Handicap honours.
