Overall leaders illbruck have crossed the line first in this morning's seventh-leg finish in La Rochelle, their fourth leg win since the around-the-world-race yachts left Southampton in September last year.
The German entry took 10 days to cross the Atlantic, arriving in the French port town about 1.45am. ASSA ABLOY
came in second, finishing three hours after illbruck.
New Zealand skipper Kevin Shoebridge's team Tyco pulled up in third.
The seven-boat field left Annapolis, on the east Coast of the United States on April 28.
During the 3400-mile leg, the all women crew of Amer Sports Too were forced out when they were demasted and illbruck broke the world record for distance travelled in 24 hours.
The fleet sails out of La Rochelle for Gothenburg, Sweden, on May 25.
The ninth and final leg of the race, held once every four years, takes the boats from Gothenburg to Kiel, Germany, starting on June 8.
