Yachting: Conner wins Etchell championships

Stars and Stripes skipper Dennis Conner won the New Zealand Etchell championships at Auckland's Gulf Harbour.

Sailing Kiwi Menace 2, Conner won two races and was in the top 10 in three others.

New Zealand's Tomaso Chieffi was second and Australians David Clark and John Bertrand third and fourth.

More than 50 teams from the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand contested the four-day event.
