New Zealand laser sailor Michael Bullot has finished second in his class at the Sydney international regatta.
Bullot led going into the last day's racing for the ISAF grade one laser fleet, but was beaten by Australian sailor Brendan Casey.
Bullot, from Auckland's Murrays Bay Sailing Club, amassed 20 pointsin the seven-race regatta on Sydney Harbour, four fewer than Casey.
The best of the five other New Zealanders in the laser fleet, David Weaver, finished fourth overall.
New Zealand's 49er pair, Scott Kennedy and Chris Kitchen, were third overall in their class.
Yachting New Zealand national coach Ian Neely was pleased with the performances.
"Both Mike and Dave Weaver sailed a pretty good regatta as it is their first major competition for the season. It sets a good base to build on for the rest of the season," he said.
"It's good to see some strong performers from New Zealand in the 49er."
