Mike Sanderson's ABN Amro One continue to lead the fleet in the fourth leg of the round the world yacht race from Wellington to Rio de Janeiro.
Last night ABN Amro One were 1538 nautical miles from Rio and had a 26-mile lead over their second boat, ABN Amro Two.Both boats had made some nice gains after choosing the eastern side of the track.
Sailing a more westerly course Pirates of the Caribbean were third 44 miles behind and Brasil 1 61 miles on.
Movistar, who came close to sinking in the Southern Ocean, are safely in Ushuaia, Argentina. There they hope to repair the casing around the keel, which caused water to flood in, and resume racing.
