Yachting: 3.7 regatta all O'Brien's

Hamilton's Mark O'Brien won the 3.7 national yachting championships on Lake Rotorua yesterday.

O'Brien dominated the three-day regatta, gaining six first placings, one second and discarding a third placing from yesterday's sixth and penultimate race.

He took line honours in the last race to emphasise his prowess in all conditions.

Ben de Fluiter, of Auckland, was second, with Rotorua's Lance O'Connell, a former three-time winner of the championship, third overall.
