Soccer: Maradona's No 10 shirt retired

Argentine soccer authorities have decided to retire the national team's hallowed No 10 shirt in honour of Diego Maradona.

The wayward genius quit quit professional football in 1997. He scored a total of 61 goals in 138 games for his country. However, the latter stage of his career was marred by problems with alleged drug use and a life-threatening heart condition.

The No 10 shirt will also be absent from the under-21 and youth teams.
