Soccer: Liverpool sign Anelka from Paris St Germain

France soccer striker Nicolas Anelka has completed a move to Liverpool from French club Paris St Germain and says he has jumped at the opportunity to join the Uefa Cup winners.

Anelka, who won the English league and FA Cup double with Arsenal during a two-year spell with the London club from 1997-99, has joined Liverpool until the end of the season with a view to later agreeing on a permanent transfer.
