Coastal Spirit and Glenfield Rovers will meet in the ASB Women's Knockout final after posting comfortable victories in this weekend's semifinals.
Coastal Spirit ran out 4-0 winners over Seatoun AFC in Christchurch, while Glenfield Rovers matched that scoreline against Claudelands Rovers in Hamilton.
Now chasing a league and cup double, Coastal Spirit were in complete control against Seatoun thanks to early strikes from Chloe Webster and Lauren Dabner in the opening five minutes.
The early two-goal advantage afforded the home side a degree of comfort and they dominated the first half, creating chances and limiting the visitors to sporadic attacks.
The game was effectively over early in the second half as Coastal Spirit again came out fastest from kick-off, with Emily Proctor scoring in the 48th minute before Webster got her second, courtesy of a deflection, on 53 minutes.
In Hamilton, after a tight first half, the deadlock was broken early in the second spell as Katie Rood opened the scoring for Glenfield on 49 minutes. Three further goals in five minutes from Caitlin Campblell, Briar McNamara and Bridgette Armstrong sealed the victory and ensured a repeat of 2011 final, won 3-0 by Glenfield.
